Adventures with Potato Peelers – Guest Post by Freya Pickard
I’m Freya Pickard. I write novels and poetry and I am a cancer survivor. My most recent publication is a collection of poems written between July 2014 and September 2015. These poems trace my journey through having a colostomy, experiencing open surgery for bowel cancer, enduring chemotherapy and starting the long road to recovery.

Interview With Two Sexy Vampires
Suzie and Cleo have agreed to an interview, so long as I keep the questions light and don’t ask about their history. We meet at Le Pain Quotidien, the girls sharing a pot of tea and watching the busy station through the glass wall.

April is National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo), basically an excuse (if you need one) to write a poem a day. I have adopted a Supergirl theme – but only because I told myself at the start that I couldn’t write poetry about superheroes, and had the perversity to do exactly that.

Alina Meridon is the fabled city of silver spires located at the heart of my novel Kings of Infinite Space. This is an epic fantasy full of gods, wizards, and other magical themes. The main character is Hrana, a vampire, but the novel is far more than just a vampire story, it’s a story about identity, love and sacrifice.

My novella, Hrana, is a more-or-less standalone extract from Kings of Infinite Space.
When Hrana makes a bargain with the Dancer to save her family and village from marauders, the price is to leave her life behind and go in search of the mythical city of Alina Meridon.
