My new release – Hrana, a vampire-fantasy novella (est. 94 pages) – is a more-or-less standalone extract from my epic-fantasy novel Kings of Infinite Space. This part of the novel was written very much as a story-within-the-story, and the first three chapters of Hrana were the first chapters of Kings of Infinite Space to be written.

Hrana – a fantasy novella – how Hrana came to be thief, wizard, warrior and mother of the vampire race
OhLo, home to many sentient species, is a world of wizardry where technology is forbidden by the dragons.
When Hrana, a young priestess of the love goddess Keylin, makes a bargain with the Dancer to save her family and village from marauders, the price is to leave her life behind and go in search of the mythical city of Alina Meridon. It is a quest that will last for thousands of years and see Hrana become thief, warrior, wizard, and mother of the vampire race.
