My True Love

My true love’s true love’s true love’s me
Triangular perversity!
For I love R and R loves G
And G insists we’re meant to be

Yes, G is gorgeous, sexy too,
Can make me come the whole night through;
But R’s the one I yearn to hold,
To keep me warm when I am cold

I went to R and bared my heart,
I said, ‘I’ve loved you from the start!’
My love was gentle, held me tight,
But moaned, ‘Alas! I share your plight!’

Said R, ‘I love you – as a friend –
My broken heart there’s none can mend
Save only G, who once I knew
But now has only eyes for you.’

O cursed fate! What cruelty!
To circulate our amory…
There’s one solution, let us see:
When three are one just what may be!
