Inspired by the Prince of Evil

The LGBT Fantasy Fiction group on goodreads has been having a writing challenge, to write a story inspired by a picture. Various lengths and formats were allowed, and I chose ‘micro-flash’ with a maximum length of 100 words. This was a fun challenge.

The image selected for the writing challenge was gooncoo’s Prince of Evil.

A sweet flurry of blessed wind set the Cruel One’s mane whispering and the veils parted to reveal my tormented love. I cried out softly to her, and with a desperate fury she tore her wings free of their gossamer bonds. With a wild flutter she thrust across the space to me, her feet, like mine, still bound by the ensnaring locks. I caught her in my arms, and laughed as her hands, even now, caressed my breasts with possessive loving. We kissed long and deep, until the Cruel One tore us apart, my love’s screams of anguish echoing mine.
