Freya Pickard is doing a series of haiku on the intense and difficult theme of cancer. Today I’m honoured to have a haiku chosen by her.

purehaiku

death by mutation
radioactive spiders
roam the hospital

I chose this haiku because it made me laugh! “radioactive spiders” describes how poisonous and ill I felt whilst enduring chemotherapy…
