sharks chasing the blood
savage turmoil in their wake
the gull’s mourning cry

Francis James Franklin has a contrary sense of humour and a passion for writing; his blog is littered with irreverent poetry, fantastic fiction and miscellaneous musings.
This haiku stood out to me because of the vivid image of the sharks hunting and the seagulls in mourning.
