There was a small island called Britain
Which with dreams of great riches was smitten
The lawyers all smiled
As paperwork piled
And the constitution was rewritten

My Awards – Yay!
Meta
I was pretty shocked to read the news this morning…
I’m so depressed about it.
The trouble is that for years governments have happily laid the blame on the EU for factory closures and job losses, so large parts of the country have this idea that leaving the EU will make life easier. The elderly have fond memories of the golden era prior to the EU, so many think leaving will be fine.
The tragedy is that things will only get worse for all of us now, and to make it worse we have created a monstrous image of racism and hatred out of a country that I love.
Even Scottish independence is starting to look good.
I agree with you, Frank!
This world is going through depressing times… Can we just press a reset button, and try again!? *sigh*
Good one, and you’re right – the lawyers must be celebrating.
In situations like these the lawyers always end up winning. It’s a shame what’s happening there and here too with the elections. These are sad times. 😦
