Never what you think

Today my lover is a man
he wasn’t yesterday
He colour-codes identity
today he’s wearing grey

His voice is firm it makes me ache
with such submissive need
I burn with such unbridled lust
for this my noble steed

Yesterday in purple garbed
her dress was very tight
The contours of her luscious curves
a most seductive sight

I worshipped every touch of skin
I kissed her silk-clad breast
I begged to see her armourless
and had her soon undressed

Who knows, tomorrow, ze’ll be red
or blue or maybe pink
Even when it’s black and white
ze’s never what you think

In love it seems I’m colour-blind
it matters not to me
When gender is irrelevant
the human heart is free
