Bathed in beauty

People like to talk about God as if they understand ‘Him’. They talk about infinity and eternity as if the human mind can encompass such concepts. Yet even our humble and finite, magnificent little star dwarfs the deities of human imagination with its capacity for destruction…

Sun from Earth orbit

my heart protects me
from your tempestuous love
I bathe in beauty

It’s difficult for me not to see our sun as a living thing. After all, we talk about stars being born and stars dying – and without them we would not even exist. The very substance of us was forged in the hearts of stars – stars mightier than our own.

the earth turns
to keep the sun
rising

  1. Very well said, Frank! The universe is perhaps more aware than we give it credit for being.
