hanged by my heartstrings & other heresies

music for lovers
Miloš at the Wigmore Hall
caressing our souls

the heart of music
exposed and vulnerable
beats with such anguish!

new season’s colours –
the last red leaves of winter
flutter in the sales

beneath busy streets
the forest of Desigual
bursts into fresh life

a heavenly quest
the true path is indirect…
ascending a spiral

the day is coming
when a woman may give birth
to her virgin self

’cross ancient arches
through mountains echoing rage
trying to go straight

the stars unfiltered
a bright pin-pricked tapestry
pitiless beauty

tell us, Phil
will there ever be an end
to deadlines?

Errant Thoughts

the winds are deaf to our ordering
fragmentary echoes of a once-vivid past

the sands of creation displayed in an hourglass
I am hanged by my heartstrings

parallel lines meet at … a tree

A Lonely F/F Tea Party

lips pressed to the rim
lost in an orgy of steam
she sips the jasmine

shy fragility
her beauty pale as the moon
she flowers at night

heavenly bodies
in each other’s gaze they are
forever falling

the fabric of space
obedient to no man
curves seductively

God created Eve
obedient to Adam
just like his first wife

laughter from the wilderness
the taste of apple

that vessel of life
so ripe with revelation
it intoxicates
