the dragon and the princess, and other monsters…

Another collection of haiku twittering from @AlinaMeridon

The dragon and the princess:

a virgin princess
all alone and caught with chain
the dragon’s tribute

dragon breathing fire
igniting captive passion
a wild heart unleashed

two bodies made one
mortal and immortal flesh
creating new life

burned and exhausted
the princess smiles; contented
her child flying high

and other monstrously bad haiku…

hanging from a tree
exposed to the cool night air
a feast for monsters

Inspiration strikes!
I have no ink, only blood –
Oh, let it suffice!

my cheeks are bulging
my jaw stretched painfully wide
taste of things to come

the grass is greener
over on the other side
(they spray-painted it)

this is not my voice
my voice lives in Italy
pretending to sing
