Unseen shadow

She stole the crystal
Raced away
Keeping pace
With edge of day

Unseen shadow
Moonstruck shade
Path prepared
And passage paid

Night her element
Dark her soul
Deep her eyes
As black as coal

Un-aged face
So pale and fair
Fiery braids
Of long-tressed hair

Quick her feet
And swift her flight
Thief of stone
And captured light

For centuries
No other creature
Near as fast

For blood she lusts
An unquenched thirst
Life eternal
Forever cursed

One foe only
Makes her cry
A superhuman
From the sky

A blonde-haired harpy
Bright as day
Forever getting
In the way

At last a weapon
She can wield
An alien rock
An emerald shield

‘Come, Supergirl!
I wait for thee!
You’ll feel my fangs
And set me free…’
