Girl of Steel

Supergirl went on a tour
Across the USA
Disguised she went to every state
To hear what people say

‘That superbabe is hot,’ some said
‘I bet she’s great in bed’
Others muttered, ‘Alien bitch!’
And wished that she were dead

‘But Superman!’ they all enthused
‘A man of steel indeed!
What courage and what honesty!
Exactly what we need’

Confused and hurt she flew away
And vengeance sweet she planned
She wrapped Kal-El in kryptonite
And kept him thus unmanned

‘Your man of steel is steel no more,’
She told the startled press
‘Until you can appreciate
A hero in a dress.’
