Cinderella’s Night

Cinderella, listen dear,
That midnight deal is good
My offer is a better one
I’m in a generous mood

I’ll bring a gown of finest silk
A stylist for your hair
Shoes for which all women lust
Wings to take you there

A fairy princess you will seem
A vision from a dream
The sisters that you hate so much
With jealousy will scream

Almost every man you see
Indeed some women too
Will yearn to get you all alone
And spend the night with you

The warriors will come to blows
The poets war with verse
The merchants and the princes too
Will offer you their purse

The king himself will take your hand
And lead you in the dance
He’ll take you to his chambers too
If given half a chance

Accept my gift, my lonely girl,
Discover this delight
And through the ages all will sing
Of Cinderella’s Night
