‘You’re pregnant,’ she says. ‘It isn’t possible, at least I was sure it wasn’t, but you are.’
I just stare at her. The idea of pregnancy is too strange. Pregnancy involves a visit to the clinic with another woman, and usually a pile of paperwork. All I’ve done is had sex… with a man.
On the screen behind Eve, the man in question is holding me possessively, his strong arm holding me helpless as his fangs sink into my neck. The expression on my face is one of pure panic.
