It seems author interviews are something akin to the No 23 bus – you wait ages for one to come along, and then three come all together, merrily overtaking each other all the way from the city centre out to Morningside and beyond. Which, unless you grew up in Edinburgh probably means nothing to you, but you get what I mean…
Y’all are probably sick of hearing me talk about myself, but this third author interview in a matter of days was actually written first. In fact, the order of appearance is quite the opposite to their composition, and there’s a noticeable archaeological stratification: in my interview with Alana Munro, I was talking about my latest project being The Slave-Girl and the Vampire (which should be out in October); in today’s interview, my latest project is Alyth: Witch on Fire, which is starting to feel like ancient history (although Alyth herself will, no doubt, continue getting herself into trouble).
Anyway, enough idle chit-chat. For some proper pontification, I am bestowing a small part of my great wisdom on the masses over at Michael Brookes’ The Cult of Me.
